‘Talented’ socialite Paris Hilton launched her new line of hair extensions in New York today. The designer line will be available at Sally Beauty Supply in ten different shades. Mike Spinozzi, president of Sally Beauty Supply, said:

It’s a powerful combination and we’re excited to work with Paris. She’s business-savvy and very creative.

Paris, who was wearing a pretty white dress, was noticeably lacking in actual hair extensions herself!

Anyways, I think the lady is pretty talented. She has her own reality show, starred in some movies and also designed apparels from shoes to handbags.

I’ve been wearing hair extensions for years and have tried other products that didn’t work. I’m always coming up with new ideas because I love coming up with fun hairstyles.

Now this is something which seems to coming out of some weird gossip writer’s weird imaginations. Reports say that Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have late night phone sex for long hours. A source says:

They have phone sex pretty often-at least once a week…The one thing those two have in common is their need for sex.

Imagine, Britney is now talking erotic with her ex-husband, who had earlier dumped her in front of everyone... by sending a text on her phone!

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon wedding photos were revealed today by PEOPLE magazine, stopping all talks of the wedding not being real but just a publicity stunt to build hype around Mariah’s new album release.

“We really do feel we are soulmates,” Carey tells PEOPLE, following their sunset ceremony at the pop star’s Bahamian estate. “I never felt a love like this was in the cards for me.”

In the photo, Carey is shown wearing a white dress, and is all smiles while locked in an embrace with Cannon, who rocked an all-white suite.

Cannon adds: “She is beautiful on the outside and 10 times as beautiful on the inside.”

The ‘Touch My Body’ singer, 38, married beau Nick Cannon in a secret ceremony in the Bahamas on April 30.

According to insiders, Nick and Mariah are now planning a big party for all the singer’s New York pals when they return from their honeymoon.

But she’s a lot more mature now and even Rob is marrying for the third time!

The freaky-looking KORN guitarist did manage to land Carmen by giving her black diamonds. It all seems to so simple for them. A sort of real life game involving fame and money, which doesn’t even last for an year!

I don’t think, I’ll be able to find someone giving odds on the length of this marriage for Carmen.

Santa Monica, CA based X Prize Foundation has announced their richest and the largest competition for developing clean technology and alternative fuels.

These are same people who gave away the much hyped-about $10m Ansari X Prize to SpaceShipOne for developing a space passenger vehicle in 2004.

The non-profit foundation will be giving up to $100m for breakthrough developments in the key areas of biofuels, clean aviation fuel, carbon capture, solar and other categories.

X Prize CEO Peter Diamandis says that through this prize they will aim to frame a target of a large monetary benefit in front of a pool of brilliant minds to speed up the innovation and research process required for rapid breakthroughs with the potential to directly benefit us all.

While I agree, a contest of such sorts will definitely be effective in opening new markets and revolutionizing industries, but saying that ‘the progress is too slow’ is inappropriate.

While clean technology is developing quickly, solutions are not coming in fast enough. Just recently, there have been developments of turning corn into biofuel and converting plant sugars into hydrogen. What we really need is the commercially-viable form of such technologies.

Also,the effort should be a combined one, not just by a foundation or independent individuals. The government should also encourage the policy of developing alternate fuels and not act rationally.

While U.S. senate applauded the X Prize foundation for their efforts, I recently found out that Congress has not yet renewed the Federal Solar Tax Credit that is set to expire this December.

Presidential hopefuls have been endorsing the idea of a gas tax relief and you are killing the solar power!

The initiative taken by the foundation is surely going to yield positive results as you can get a clue with the fact that 8% of the total venture capital funding in America is already flowing into clean technology.

In the end, I would like to emphasize one point.

While we are talking about funding new means of energy-production, why not we talk about saving it also? Conventional energy-conservation might as well solve the problem, besides spending millions of dollars on generating it’s alternatives.
